"I hope they call me on a mission! When I have grown a foot or two!" Those are the words the young boys from this Spanish Fork family would enthusiastically sing whilst excitedly jumping on the couch. In a family of five kids, each has had the opportunity to grow a foot or two and reach their lifelong goals of going on their religious missions. As the youngest, it is now Alex's turn. The Spanish Fork River Bottoms have been a special, and almost spiritual, place for each member of the family over the years so it only seems fitting that the youngest son would take his senior graduation and also mission photos here.
After over a year of a pandemic that interfered with everyone's plans, Alex has graduated and is ready to move forward! This last year has been a whirlwind but this year's graduating seniors have handled themselves with such grace! The pandemic started out with zoom calls and cancelled visits, now Spanish Fork High School had Prom and a celebration for Senior Night in person. Being close to this family, I've seen Alex give up many of his high school hallmark experiences to help keep his community safe but I've never seen him complain. What amazing strength to watch coming from a teenager! This 2021 graduating class and upcoming generation is a force to be reckoned with! I really love taking senior photos because I really believe our future is in good hands with these amazing graduates you amazing parents are putting out!
After graduation, Alex will be serving an LDS mission in Atlanta, Georgia. After his mission he plans to go to school at Brigham Young University in Provo.
Alex, you are a hard working young man who has already accomplished so much! You have prepared so well for a strong future. I can see you growing to a man who contributes to his community and has compassion and love for those around you, I can see that you already have that compassion and love in you. Your family is so proud of you and I personally can't wait to see the amazing things you decide to do with your life.
